Active vs inactive searches
Pause a Search without losing your setup - deactivate to stop tracking and emails, then reactivate anytime to pick up right where you left off.
Need a break from updates? You don’t have to delete your Search — just deactivate it.
Deactivation pauses tracking and emails but keeps all your setup and filters saved for later.
What is an inactive Search?
An inactive Search:
- Stops tracking new documents and data.
- No longer sends email alerts or digests.
You’ll find these under the Inactive Searches tab on the Search page.
How to deactivate a Search
-
On the Active Searches tab, go to the eye icon.
-
Select the eye icon to deactivate the search and make it inactive.
Important to note:
The Search moves to the Inactive list and pauses all activity. Once a Search is deactivated, email digests and reporting stop until the Search is reactivated.
How to activate a Search
-
Go to Inactive Searches.
-
Find the Search you’d like to restart.
-
Click the eye icon to re-activate the search.
If you have configured an alert for this search, tracking and emails will resume based on your last-saved settings.
