Creating and managing company sets

Create and manage company sets to group relevant mining companies for streamlined search setup and team-specific tracking.

What is a company set

A company set is a pre-defined group of mining companies organised around a shared objective, region, or focus area.

It allows you to create labelled collections such as West Africa juniors, Australian developers, or Battery metals Canada.

Company sets help you:

  • Track multiple companies under one shared grouping.

  • Reuse the same lists across searches.

  • Keep team workflows consistent.

They’re especially useful for organisations that manage several teams monitoring different portfolios or geographic regions.

How to access company sets

  1. In the side navigation, go to the bottom left and click Profile.

  2. Inside your profile, open the Company sets tab.

  3. Here you’ll see:

    • Any existing sets you’ve already created, or

    • A blank page if you’re setting one up for the first time.

How to add a new company set

  1. In the Company sets tab, click + Create new set.

  2. Give your set a clear name, such as Battery metals Canada.

  3. Use the search bar to find companies.

  4. Double-click each company name to move it from the left box to the right box.

  5. Choose whether to make this an organisation set (shared with your whole team) or keep it private to your own account.

  6. Click Save.

Your new set is now ready to use when creating a search.

How to edit a company set

  1. In your Company sets tab, find the set you want to update.

  2. Click the name of the set — this opens the set modal.

  3. From here, you can:

    • Rename the set.

    • Add or remove companies.

  4. Click Save to apply your changes.

If the set is an organisation set, only an admin will be able to edit it.

Using a company set in a search

When creating a search:

  1. Choose Specific → By company set in the setup flow.

  2. Select your desired company set from the dropdown menu.

  3. Continue through the setup flow to add filters, choose content sources, and configure alerts.

The search will automatically track all companies in that set and include them in your results and email digests.

Using company sets saves time and keeps searches consistent across your team — especially for recurring portfolios or region-based monitoring.

Organisation sets vs personal sets

  • Organisation sets are visible to all members of your organisation and can only be edited by admins.

    • They’re useful for ensuring teams share consistent company lists.

  • Personal sets are visible only to you and can be edited at any time.

If your organisation has created an organisation set:

  • You will not be able to edit it directly.

  • To make changes, copy the organisation set first.

    • This creates a personal copy of the same companies.

    • You can then rename or edit it freely — it will appear only on your personal dashboard.

The same rules apply to category sets and mining asset sets.
