Creating a search
Build a filtered view of the companies or mining assets you care about, save it, and return to it at any time - or use it as the basis for an alert.
Why build a search?
Rather than scrolling through the full Companies or Mining Assets table, a search lets you define your criteria once and create a focused set of results.
You can return to the search later, refine its filters, view related news and documents, or turn it into an alert.
Starting a search
- Click Searches & Alerts in the sidebar to open the drawer.
- Under New Search, choose Companies or Mining Assets.
- Apply the filters that describe what you are looking for.
- Click Next to view the matching results.
Both routes take you from a filter builder to a results table, where you can save or edit the search and create an alert.
The available filters differ depending on whether you choose Companies or Mining Assets.

Company searches include filters such as:
- Market: filter by Market Cap, Cash in Bank and Cash Runway.
- Exchanges, Industry and Ownership: select one or more exchanges, choose Mining, Steel or Energy, and filter by Public, Private or Government ownership.
- Portfolio: filter companies according to the commodities, phases, stages, regions and countries represented across their assets.
- Permits: filter according to permits held by the company’s assets, including Exploration & Drilling, Environmental, Water, Mining & Operating, Processing & Facility, and Indigenous & Community permits.
- Milestones: filter according to milestones reached by the company’s assets, such as Drilling Commenced, Maiden Resource Declared, study publication, Construction Started or First Production.

Choosing how filters must match
Under Filter Conditions, choose:
- All if every selected condition must match; or
- Any if a result can match any one of the selected conditions.
Rows are combined using All by default.
Use Clear All at the top of the page to remove your selections and begin again.
Working with your results
Your results open in a table with:
- a Companies or Mining Assets tab for the matching records; and
- a News & Documents tab for related publications.
From the results page, you can:
- open the Filters tab on the left to review or change your criteria;
- search within the results;
- adjust which columns are shown;
- export the table;
- save or edit the search;
- create an alert; or
- delete the search.
These controls are available through the icons in the top-right corner and the action bar at the bottom of the page.
While you are building the search, Pulse automatically saves it as a draft.
Viewing related news and documents
Open the News & Documents tab to see publications connected to the companies or mining assets in your results.
You can switch between:
- All
- News
- Financial Reports
- Technical Reports
Use the search and filter controls to narrow the publications shown.
Saving your search
- Click Save Search in the action bar at the bottom of the page.
- Enter a recognisable search name when prompted.
- Save the search.
Your saved search appears under All search results in the Searches & Alerts drawer, where you can reopen it later.
Once an alert is active, the action bar also lets you:
- edit the search;
- modify the alert;
- deactivate the search; or
- delete it.
If you select Create alert before saving the search, Pulse will ask you to name and save it first.
