Creating and managing mining asset sets
Create and manage mining asset sets to group relevant projects for streamlined search setup and focused tracking across your workflow.
What is a mining asset set
A mining asset set is a pre-defined group of mining projects or sites organised around a shared focus — such as geography, commodity, or development stage. It allows you to create labelled collections like Copper projects – Chile, West Africa exploration, or Australian gold operations.
Mining asset sets help you:
-
Track multiple projects at once without selecting assets individually.
-
Reuse the same project lists across searches.
-
Keep your team or personal tracking consistent and efficient.
They’re useful for both individuals and teams who need to monitor specific groups of assets within the broader mining landscape.
How to access mining asset sets
-
In the side navigation, go to the bottom left and click Profile.
-
Inside your profile, open the Mining asset sets tab.
-
Here you’ll see:
-
Any existing sets you’ve already created, or
-
A blank page if you’re setting one up for the first time.
-
How to add a new mining asset set
-
In the Mining asset sets tab, click + Create new set.
-
Give your set a clear name, such as South America copper assets or Pre-production gold projects.
-
Use the search bar to find mining assets.
-
Double-click each asset name to move it from the left box to the right box.
-
Choose whether to make this an organisation set (shared across your company) or keep it private to your own account.
-
Click Save.
Your new mining asset set will now appear as an option when creating a search.
How to edit a mining asset set
-
In your Mining asset sets tab, find the set you want to update.
-
Click the name of the set — this opens the set modal.
-
From here, you can:
-
Rename the set.
-
Add or remove mining assets.
-
-
Click Save to apply your changes.
If the set is an organisation set, only an admin will be able to edit it.
Using a mining asset set in a search
When creating a search:
-
Choose Specific → By asset set in the setup flow.
-
Select your desired mining asset set from the dropdown menu.
-
Continue through the setup flow to add filters, choose content sources, and configure alerts.
The search will automatically track all mining assets included in the set, collecting related documents and updates.
Using mining asset sets speeds up search creation and ensures consistent tracking — whether you’re an individual analyst or part of a larger team monitoring shared projects.
Organisation sets vs personal sets
-
Organisation sets are visible to all members of your organisation and can only be edited by admins.
-
They help ensure consistent project tracking across teams.
-
-
Personal sets are visible only to you and can be edited at any time.
If your organisation has created an organisation set:
-
You will not be able to edit it directly.
-
To make changes, copy the organisation set first.
-
This creates a personal copy of the same assets.
-
You can then rename or edit it freely — it will appear only on your personal dashboard.
-
The same rules apply to company sets and category sets.
