Exploring mergers and acquisitions

Track mergers, corporate acquisitions, and asset transfers across the mining companies Pulse follows.

Why check this page

The Mergers & Acquisitions page brings tracked deal activity into one place, so you can quickly see what has been announced, who is involved, and whether a transaction is still pending or has closed.

It is particularly useful when you want to scan recent corporate activity without having to work through individual company announcements one by one.

What you’ll see

The main page is a table of M&A activity.

Each row can show information such as:

  • Announced date
  • Buyer
  • Seller
  • Close date
  • Type
  • Status
  • Sources

Deal types can include Corporate acquisition / merger and Asset acquisition, while statuses include Announced, Pending, Closed, and Terminated.

Filtering the table

Click the Filters tab on the side of the page to narrow the list.

You can filter by:

  • Type - for example, corporate acquisition / merger or asset acquisition
  • Status - Announced, Pending, Closed, or Terminated
  • Announced date
  • Close date

You can also choose whether multiple filter conditions should match All or Any.

Searching, arranging, and exporting

Use the icons in the top-right corner of the page to manage the current table view:

  • Search - find a deal using the search field
  • Configure Columns - choose which fields appear in the table
  • Export - download the current table view

Opening a deal

Click a row to open the full deal view.

At the top, Pulse shows the key transaction details available for that deal, which can include:

  • Seller and buyer
  • Status
  • Announcement date
  • Deal type
  • Value
  • Consideration
  • Premium

Not every field will necessarily be populated for every transaction.

Overview

The Overview tab gives you a concise summary of the transaction.

Where available, you can also see:

  • Sources used for the deal
  • Related Publications, with Pulse’s summary of the announcement and links back to the original source

This makes it easier to move from the structured transaction record to the supporting announcement without leaving the deal view.

Parties

Switch to the Parties tab to see the companies involved in the transaction and the role each one plays, such as buyer or seller.

Adding a deal to Pulse AI

When you have opened an individual deal, use the Add to Pulse AI icon in the top-right corner to bring that transaction into Pulse AI and investigate it further.

For example, you might ask Pulse AI to summarise the transaction terms, explain the strategic rationale, or help you assess the deal in the context of the companies involved.

Actions you can take

From the Mergers & Acquisitions page, you can:

  • Browse recent M&A activity
  • Filter by deal type, status, or date
  • Search for a specific transaction
  • Configure the table columns
  • Export the current view
  • Open any deal for a fuller summary, sources, and related publications
  • View the parties involved
