Managing users and roles in Pulse

Admins within an organisation can add, edit, or remove users and manage access across the platform. This ensures that each team member has the correct permissions to view, edit, or manage content in Pulse.

Permissions

Permissions determine what each user can see or do within the organisation.
There are two main roles:

  • Admin: Can manage users, roles, and organisation-level Sets. They can also edit company and asset Sets for teams and adjust user permissions.

  • User: Can view assigned searches, assets, and data, but cannot edit users or manage organisation-wide resources.

Only Admins can add or remove users or change role permissions.

Viewing and managing users

Admins can see all users within their organisation, including their assigned roles and activity status.

This allows easy oversight of who has access to what, helping maintain control and consistency across teams.

Adding users

To add a new team member:

  1. Click + Invite user.

  2. Enter the new user’s email address.

  3. Assign their role (Admin or User).

  4. Click Invite to send the email invitation.

The invited user will receive an email to join your organisation on Pulse and set up their account.

Editing users

To update an existing user:

  1. Click the edit icon from the action menu (⋮) next to the user’s name.

  2. You can:

    • Change their role (for example, from User to Admin).

    • Update their name or email address.

    • Choose whether they receive email attachments with their alerts.

  3. Click Save changes to confirm.

Deleting users

To remove a user:

  1. Click the X icon in the action menu (⋮) next to their name.

  2. Confirm deletion when prompted.

Deleting a user will not delete any searches they were assigned to unless explicitly chosen. All data associated with their role remains accessible to other team members.

Finding a specific user

To find a user quickly, use the search bar at the top of the Users table.
You can search by name or email address — ideal for large organisations with multiple active users

If you cannot locate a user, check whether their invitation is still pending under Invited users.
