Managing your organisation
Manage the people who have access to your organisation, control their permissions, and group users together to make team workflows easier to manage.
Why this matters
Organisation Settings gives admins one place to manage access across their team.
From here, you can invite new users, see who already has access, control whether someone is an Admin or User, manage email attachments, and organise people into User Sets for more efficient Pip delivery.
Everything on this page applies to your wider organisation rather than just your own account.
Getting there
Click Profile at the bottom of the sidebar, then select Organisation Settings.
Organisation Settings is only available to Admin users. If you don’t see it in the Profile menu, you don’t have admin permissions for the organisation.
There are two areas covered in this article:
- Users - manage individual people and their access.
- User Sets - group users together for easier organisation and Pip delivery.
Managing users
The Users tab shows everyone with access to your organisation.
For each person, you can see their email address, User Sets, permission level, and whether email attachments are enabled.
Adding a user:
Click Add User in the top-right corner.
Enter one or more email addresses.
If you’re inviting several people at once, separate each address using a comma or by pressing Enter.
Choose the role they should receive:
-
User gives someone standard access to the organisation.
-
Admin gives them administrative access, including the ability to manage users and Organisation Settings.
-
Click Send Invitations when you’re ready.
Finding an existing user:
Use the search icon at the top of the Users page to find someone without scrolling through the full list.
This is particularly useful for larger organisations with a lot of users.
Editing or deleting a user:
Click the three-dot menu at the end of a user’s row.
From here, you can:
- Edit user to change their details or permissions.
- Delete user if they should no longer have access to the organisation.
Take care when changing someone’s permission level, particularly when granting or removing Admin access.
Email attachments:
The Email Attachment checkbox controls whether that user receives a Word document version of each Pip digest as an email attachment.
Turn it on for users who need the attachment included alongside their usual Pip email, or leave it off if they don’t.
Using User Sets
User Sets let you group people together instead of managing every user individually.
For example, you might create sets for:
- Copper team
- Australia team
- Investment team
- Senior management
This makes it easier to organise users around the areas they actually work on.
User Sets can also be used to help deliver relevant Searches to the appropriate groups. If you change the users within a set, those changes are reflected in active Searches linked to that User Set.
Creating a User Set:
Open the User Sets tab and click Create new set.
Give the set a clear name, then add the users who should belong to it.
Once created, the set appears in your organisation’s User Sets list.
From here, you can also manage existing sets using the icons beside each one:
- Duplicate to create a copy.
- Edit to change the set.
- Delete to remove it.
Keeping User Sets organised around real teams, regions, commodities, or responsibilities makes them much easier to reuse as your organisation grows.
Actions you can take
From Organisation Settings, you can:
- Invite new users to your organisation.
- Search for an existing user.
- Assign User or Admin permissions.
- Edit or remove users.
- Choose who receives Word document versions of Pip digests.
- Create and manage User Sets.
- Group users for more efficient Pip delivery and team organisation.
