Exploring mining assets
Browse every mining asset Pulse tracks, switch between map and list views, apply detailed filters, and open any asset for the full picture.
Why use this page
The Mining Assets page is designed for exploring projects across the full mining lifecycle.
You might use it to find exploration-stage projects in a particular country, compare producing assets by commodity, screen for assets with specific reserves or economics, or simply understand where projects are located.
The page gives you two ways to explore:
- Map view for a spatial overview
- List view for detailed screening, filtering and comparison
Switching between Map view and List view
Use the button in the top-right corner to switch between Map view and List view.
Map view:
Map view shows assets geographically, with pins colour-coded by lifecycle phase:
- Production
- Development
- Exploration
- Closed
Nearby assets are grouped into numbered clusters. As you zoom in, those clusters separate into individual locations.
You can also:
- zoom and pan around the map
- switch between different map layers
- filter the map by lifecycle phase
- click a marker to explore the asset it represents
Map view currently uses its own lifecycle controls. Detailed filters applied in List view do not carry across when you open the map.
List view:
List view displays assets in a table, with fields such as:
- Mining Asset
- Commodities
- Country
- Phase
- Stage
- Mine Type
- Deposit Type
- Primary Company
- Production
Click an asset name to open its full Mining Asset card.
Filtering assets
Open the Filters panel from the side of the page.
The available filters are grouped into sections, including:
Commodities:
Filter by:
- Primary commodities
- All commodities
- By-products
Lifecycle:
Filter by:
- Phase
- Stage
- Activity Status
Activity Status options include Active, Care & Maintenance, Rehabilitation, On Hold and Inactive.
Type and geography:
You can narrow results by:
- Asset Type
- Mine Type
- Deposit Type
- World region
- Country
- Province or state
Primary company:
Filter assets using information about their primary company, including:
- Company market capitalisation
- Exchange
- Share-price movement
- Specific companies
- Company Sets
Asset data:
More detailed filters are available for areas such as:
- Milestones
- Permits
- Reserves & Resources
- Production
- Economics
- Drilling
This allows you to create quite specific screens, such as active Australian exploration assets with recent drill results, or producing gold assets above a particular production threshold.
Results update as filters are applied.
Choosing how filters must match
At the bottom of the Filters panel, you can choose how multiple filters are combined:
- All - an asset must match all selected conditions
- Any - an asset can match any selected condition
Rows are combined using All by default.
This is useful when building either a very precise shortlist or a broader discovery search.
Starting from a saved search
You can also begin with an existing saved search using the Start From section at the top of the Filters panel.
This lets you reuse a previous screen and then adjust it, rather than rebuilding the same criteria from scratch.
When your current filter setup is ready, select Save search to keep it for later.
Related News & Documents and Drill results
The tabs at the top of the page include:
- Mining Assets
- News & Documents
- Drill results
These tabs use the same active filtering context.
For example, after narrowing the asset list to a particular commodity, company or region, you can switch to News & Documents or Drill results to explore content associated with that filtered group.
Within those tabs, you can apply additional content-specific filters such as source, exchange, date, company, commodity or hole type.
Drill-result cards may include:
- the reporting company and asset
- headline intercept
- number of holes and intercepts
- maximum depth
- a summary of the announcement
- a link to the original source
- View in 3D, where the required drillhole geometry is available
Parent and child assets
Some mining projects are structured as a parent asset with several related child assets.
In List view, an arrow beside the asset name indicates that the row can be expanded. Select it to view the related child assets without leaving the page.
This is useful where one wider project contains several pits, deposits, licence areas or operating components.
Selecting and acting on rows
Use the checkboxes beside asset rows to select one or more assets.
Once assets are selected, an action bar appears with the exact options:
- Compare selection
- Add to set
- Clear selection
Compare selection opens the chosen assets in Benchmarking.
Add to set saves them to a Mining Asset Set for quicker access later.
Using the page icons
The icons in the top-right corner of List view allow you to:
- Add to Pulse AI - send the current context into Pulse AI
- Search - find an asset by name
- Configure Columns - choose which fields appear in the table
- Export - download the current table view
The exported file reflects the active filters and visible columns.
Actions you can take
From the Mining Assets page, you can:
- explore assets geographically in Map view
- screen the full database in List view
- apply detailed asset, company, lifecycle and technical filters
- save a filtered search
- switch to related News & Documents or Drill results
- expand parent assets to view child assets
- compare selected assets
- save selected assets to a Mining Asset Set
- configure the table columns
- export the current view
- open any asset for its full Mining Asset card
