Understanding Asset cards

Why this matters

A Mining Asset card is where the detailed story of a project lives.

The wider platform helps you find an asset; the card helps you understand where it sits in its lifecycle, who is involved, what has been reported and how the project has changed over time.

Opening a Mining Asset card

Click an asset’s name anywhere it appears on the platform, including:

the Mining Assets page;
a Company card’s Mining Assets tab;
a news story or drill result;
a royalties record; or
a related parent or child asset.

The card opens over your current page, so you can review the asset without losing where you were.

Use the Expand icon to enlarge the card and Close to return to the previous page.

Understanding the card header

At the top of the card, you may see:

the asset name and any parent asset;
its primary commodity;
phase and stage;
country;
primary company; and
quick-action icons for Pulse AI, benchmarking, Sets and reporting an issue.

The tabs shown depend on the asset, its lifecycle and the information available. Not every asset will have every tab.

What you’ll find, tab by tab

Overview:

The Overview tab gives you a quick summary of the asset before you move into the detailed data.

Depending on the asset, it can include:

phase, stage, status, asset type and mine type;
primary commodities;
companies linked to the asset and their roles;
counts of related news, documents and structured data;
a brief summary;
parent and child asset structure;
reserves and resources;
milestones and permits;
location and map information;
mineral tenure;
site profile; and
the primary company.

Company and parent-asset names shown in blue can be opened directly from the card.

Ownership & Structure:

The Ownership & Structure tab shows which companies are or were connected to the asset.

You can review:

the company;
its role, such as operator or joint venture partner;
start and end dates;
interest terms;
supporting context; and
whether the relationship is current or historical.

Use Current, Historical or All to change the view. Where available, you can also filter, change the visible columns and export the table.

Mineral Tenure:

The Mineral Tenure tab shows the licences and tenure areas associated with the asset.

The map can display tenure boundaries alongside the asset’s drill locations and surrounding geography. You can:

zoom and move around the map;
switch map styles;
turn the mineral-tenure overlay on or off;
inspect individual tenure areas; and
use the table and map controls to explore the available data.

The tenure table may include the tenure ID, type, status and expiry date.

Pulse also shows the underlying source and the date the tenure data was last synchronised where this information is available.

News & Documents:

The News & Documents tab contains the same types of content available on the wider platform, but filtered to this asset.

Use the tabs to move between:

All;
News;
Financial Reports; and
Technical Reports.

Each result includes a summary and may provide access to the original exchange announcement, company document or source.

Drill Results:

The Drill Results tab provides two ways to explore drilling associated with the asset:

Feed presents the results as a list of announcements and summaries.
Viewer displays the available drilling data geographically and in 3D.

Within Viewer, you can switch between Map, 3D and, where available, Document. Select a disclosure from the panel to see the holes contributed by that source, or choose all disclosures to view the combined dataset.

Drill holes require sufficient location and geometry data to appear in 3D. Results without complete spatial information can still appear in the feed.

Where available, select View in 3D from a drill-result entry to open the visualisation directly.

Development & Economics:

The Development & Economics tab appears where economic-study information is available.

- Table:

The Table view brings together the published studies and scenarios for the asset. Depending on what the company disclosed, the table may include:

effective date;
study type;
scenario;
whether it is the base case;
post-tax NPV;
NPV discount rate;
commodity-price assumptions;
pre-tax and post-tax IRR;
initial, sustaining, closure and total capital expenditure;
mine life;
payback period;
cash flow;
ownership or capital basis; and
source documents.

Select the + beside a row to open the supporting detail. A dash means the figure was not disclosed for that study.

Use the column control to adjust the table and the download icon to export the available data.

- Charts:

The Charts view helps you compare how reported economic metrics have changed between studies and scenarios over time.

Where there is not enough published information for a meaningful comparison, Pulse shows that the metric was not reported rather than presenting an empty or assumed value.

Reserves & Resources:

The Reserves & Resources tab shows how the asset’s reported figures have changed over time.

You can:

select a commodity;
switch between the reported commodity, commodity-equivalent values and All;
explore the historical chart;
hover over points to see the relevant date and values; and
open the rows below for more detail.

The table can include reserves, resources, measured, indicated, inferred, proven and probable figures, together with grade, reporting company, ownership basis and whether reserves are included in the total.

Where available, use the source icon to open the supporting document, the column control to change what is shown and the download icon to export the data.

Production:

The Production tab shows the production figures available for the asset.

Use the controls to:

select a commodity;
switch between Actual, Projected or All;
view Annual, Quarterly or all periods;
explore the chart; and
expand individual rows for the underlying disclosures.

The table may include the reporting period, reporting company, ownership basis, asset production, costs, cost metric, grade, recovery, output point and source information.

Actual and Projected figures are kept distinct so it is clear whether a number has already been reported or relates to a future expectation.

You can also adjust the visible columns, export the available data and open the original sources where provided.

Reported, assumed and calculated figures

Pulse distinguishes between information reported directly by a company and information it has calculated or inferred.

A source-reported figure is shown with its supporting document where available.

When Pulse calculates a comparable figure, applies an ownership basis or uses an assumed date or inclusion treatment, that distinction is labelled in the interface.

Labels such as Assumed, Attributable, 100%, Included and Excluded help you understand the basis of each number rather than blending different methodologies together.

For commercially important decisions, review the source document and basis shown alongside the figure.

Viewing sources and exporting data

Many tables across the card include additional controls.

Depending on the section, you may be able to:

open the original source document;
expand a row to see its supporting disclosures;
change which columns are visible;
search or filter the results; and
download or export the available data.

These options are most commonly available in structured sections such as Ownership & Structure, Development & Economics, Reserves & Resources, Production and Mineral Tenure.

Using the card’s quick actions

At the top right of the Mining Asset card, you’ll find the following actions:

Add to Pulse AI - add the asset to a Pulse AI conversation for further analysis.
Compare in benchmarking - send the asset into Compare & Benchmark.
Mining Asset Sets - add the asset to a Mining Asset Set for quicker access later.
Report - flag information that may need review.
Expand - enlarge the card.
Close - close the card and return to the previous page.

Actions you can take

From a Mining Asset card, you can:

open the primary company or a related parent asset;
review current and historical ownership;
inspect mineral-tenure boundaries;
read related news and source documents;
view drill results as a feed or in 3D;
compare published economic studies;
examine reserves, resources and production over time;
export available structured data;
add the asset to Pulse AI, benchmarking or a Mining Asset Set; and
report information that appears incorrect.
