Understanding Company cards
Everything Pulse knows about a company, brought together in one place. Company cards organise financials, ownership, mining assets, people, news, production data and more into clear tabs, so you can move quickly between different types of information.
Why this matters
Company cards are one of the main ways you explore information in Pulse.
Whether you click a company from the Companies page, a mining asset, a news story, a drill result, a transaction or a person’s profile, the Company card brings the available information together in a single view.
Understanding how the card is structured makes it easier to find what you need without opening several different areas of the platform.
Opening a Company card
Click a company’s name anywhere it appears on the platform.
You can open a Company card from places including:
- the Companies page
- the sidebar search
- a mining asset’s owner or primary company
- a news story or drill result
- a merger or acquisition record
- the Royalties page
- a person’s associated company
The card opens over your current page, so you can review the company without losing your place.
Use the Expand icon in the top-right corner to open a larger view, or the Close icon to return to the page underneath.
The Company card header
The header gives you a quick summary before you open any of the tabs.
Depending on the company, it may show:
- the company name and logo
- its primary commodities
- exchange tickers
- market capitalisation
- available action icons
The tabs underneath organise the rest of the company information by topic.
What you’ll find, tab by tab
Overview:
The Overview tab gives you a high-level snapshot of the company.
It can include:
- the number and lifecycle stage of its mining assets
- primary commodities and by-products
- countries of operation
- available news, documents and structured data
- market capitalisation, share price and price performance
- production and reserves summaries
- an interactive map of the company’s assets
- a written company summary
The financial chart can be viewed across different time periods. Markers on the chart may link share-price movements to relevant company announcements or reports.
The asset map groups the company’s assets by stage, such as Production, Development, Exploration and Closed.
Use the map controls to zoom, move around the map or change the display.
Mining Assets:
The Mining Assets tab lists the assets connected to the company.
The table may show:
- asset name
- commodities
- country
- activity status
- phase and stage
- the company’s role
- ownership or interest terms
- the primary company
Some rows can be expanded where an asset has related parent or child assets.
Click an asset name to open its Mining Asset card.
You can also search the table, adjust the visible columns or export the available data using the controls above it.
Ownership:
The Ownership tab is used to review the ownership information available for the company.
Where data is available, you can switch between:
- Current ownership
- Over time
- Filings
Coverage may vary by company, and some companies may not yet have ownership filings available.
Financial Data:
The Financial Data tab brings together the company’s available market and financial metrics.
This may include:
- market information and share-price performance
- valuation ratios
- profitability and margins
- balance-sheet figures
- cash flow
- stock statistics
- dividends and splits
- insider and institutional ownership indicators
Some metrics may be unavailable depending on the company’s disclosures, reporting standards or stage.
Cash & Runway:
The Cash & Runway tab gives you a focused view of the company’s cash position.
It can show:
- cash in bank
- runway status or estimated runway
- the date the figures apply to
- the underlying source figures used
The source table helps you see where the displayed values came from and how recently they were updated.
News & Documents:
The News & Documents tab shows news, announcements, financial reports and technical reports connected to that company.
Use the content tabs to narrow the feed, or use the search and filter controls to find something specific.
Each result can include:
- the publication date
- the title
- topic labels
- an AI-generated summary
- the company name
- a link to the original source
People:
The People tab shows executives, directors and board members associated with the company.
Depending on the available data, the table may include:
- name
- role
- company
- compensation
- shares held
- tenure
- experience
- number of board positions
You can search, filter, adjust columns and export the available data.
Drill Results:
The Drill Results tab shows drill programmes and reported assay results associated with the company and its mining assets.
Each result may include:
- the announcement date
- the related mining asset
- commodity
- key intercepts
- number of holes and intercepts
- a summary of the announcement
- a link to the source
Use the filter panel to narrow the results by commodity, source, exchange, company or date range.
Reserves & Resources:
The Reserves & Resources tab brings together the company’s reported reserves and resources by commodity.
You can use the commodity tabs and display controls to review different measures and reporting periods.
The chart shows how reported figures have changed over time, while the table underneath provides the supporting detail, including:
- effective date
- commodity
- reporting company
- reporting basis
- reserves
- resources
- measured, indicated and inferred figures
- total reserves and resources
Expand a row to review more detail where available. You can also adjust columns, export the data and open the original source from the source icon.
Production:
The Production tab shows available production figures by commodity.
You can switch between:
- Actual
- Projected
- All
You can also view the data annually, quarterly or together.
The chart gives you a visual history of production, while the table underneath shows the underlying reporting periods, basis, attributable production, costs, cost metrics and sources.
Expand a row to view the reported figures behind the consolidated entry. You can also adjust columns, export the data or open the original source where available.
What’s reported versus what’s calculated
Pulse may show both figures reported directly by a company and figures calculated to make comparison easier.
Where a company states a value in a filing or report, Pulse keeps that reported figure linked to its source.
Where normalisation is needed for comparison, for example because companies report on different ownership bases or in different currencies, a calculated figure may also be shown.
Reported and calculated figures are kept distinct rather than blended together.
Using the Company card actions
The icons in the top-right corner let you act on the company without leaving the card.
Depending on the available features, you can:
- Add to Pulse AI - send the company into a Pulse AI chat for further analysis
- Compare in benchmarking - add the company to a comparison
- Company Sets - save the company to a Set
- Report - flag information that may need reviewing
- Expand - open a larger view of the card
- Close - return to the page underneath
Searching, adjusting and exporting data
Several Company card tabs include controls above their tables or feeds.
Where available, you can use them to:
- search within the current tab
- open or close filters
- choose which columns are displayed
- export the available data
- open the original source for a figure or record
The exact controls vary depending on the type of information shown.
