Exploring people
Find the people behind the mining companies you track, understand their roles and experience, and explore how they are connected across the industry.
Why use this page
The People page brings executives and board members from across the Pulse database into one searchable and filterable view.
Instead of opening company pages one at a time, you can use this page to find a specific person, identify people by company or role, compare experience and tenure, and explore the networks connecting individuals across the mining industry.
What you’ll see
The main People table includes information such as:
- Name
- Role
- Company
- Compensation
- Shares held
- Tenure
- Experience
- Number of boards
Some fields may be blank where that information is not available.
Company names shown in blue can be opened to view the related Company card.
Searching and filtering People
Use Search in the top-right corner to find a person by name or company.
For more specific screening, open the Filters panel from the side of the page.
Available filters include options such as:
- Role
- Company
- Whether the person is currently serving
- Compensation
Additional filters are available within the panel.
For example, you could use the filters to narrow the database to current directors at a particular company, or people matching a specific role or compensation range.
Sorting and arranging the table
You can sort the table directly from individual column headings.
Open the menu beside a column to:
- Sort ascending or descending
- Pin the column to the left or right
- Manage the columns displayed
This is useful when you want to prioritise particular information, such as experience, compensation, tenure, or role.
Using the page icons
The icons in the top-right corner of the People page allow you to:
- Add to Pulse AI - open Pulse AI from the page
- Search - find a person by name or company
- Configure Columns - choose which fields appear in the table
- Export - download the current table view
Opening a person profile
Click a person’s name to open their individual profile.
A People profile brings together information about that person in one place, including their background, current and previous roles, education, and professional connections.
The profile is organised into four tabs:
Summary:
The Summary tab gives you an overview of the person, including available biographical information, associated companies, and current or previous positions.

Career:
The Career tab shows the person’s career history, including current and former roles and the companies they have worked with.
Where available, the profile also shows the years associated with each role.
Education:
The Education tab lists available qualifications and institutions.
Connections:
The Connections tab shows people linked through the individual’s professional network.
For each connection, Pulse may show:
- Name
- Role
- Company
- Connection strength
- How long the connection is known to have existed
You can search within the person’s network and narrow the connections by strength.
Asking Pulse AI about a person
From an individual profile, select Add to Pulse AI to open a conversation grounded in that person’s Pulse data.
Pulse AI can then help you explore questions such as:
- What is this person’s current role and company?
- What companies have they been involved with?
- What does their career and board history look like?
- Are there any recent developments or risk flags associated with them?
You can also ask your own question directly.
Actions you can take
From the People page, you can:
- Search for a person by name or company
- Filter the database by role, company, current status, compensation, and other available criteria
- Sort and rearrange the table
- Open a person profile for more detail
- Review career, education, and professional connections
- Add an individual person to Pulse AI for deeper analysis
- Click through to related Company cards
- Export the current table view
