Getting started with Pulse
The fastest way to get value from Pulse: five things worth doing in your first week.
Pulse is a mining intelligence platform designed to help you move quickly across companies, mining assets, news, documents, and drill results.
You can browse the platform directly, build focused searches, receive alerts, ask questions through Pulse AI, track your portfolio, and compare companies or assets side by side.
To get started, these five actions are the best place to begin.
1. Set up your first search
Build a filtered view of the companies or mining assets you care about, using criteria such as commodities, geography, lifecycle stage, market data, or specific companies and assets.
Once you are happy with the results, save the search so you can return to it later.
→ Read: Creating a search
2. Turn it into an alert
Once you have saved a search, turn it into an alert so Pulse can continue monitoring it for you.
Choose the kinds of news you want to receive, then decide whether you would prefer real-time updates or a daily, weekly, or monthly summary.
→ Read: Creating an alert
3. Ask Pulse AI a question
Use Pulse AI when you want to explore something in plain language rather than building a filtered search first.
You can ask about companies, mining assets, drill results, news, documents, commodities, locations, or recent developments within your Pulse coverage.
→ Read: Using Pulse AI
4. Set up your Portfolio Tracker
Add the companies you hold and record your transactions to see your portfolio value, returns, position sizes, and recent performance in one place.
The Portfolio Tracker also provides AI-generated summaries to help explain recent share-price movements.
→ Read: Tracking your portfolio
5. Compare and benchmark
Line up companies or mining assets side by side and choose the metrics that matter most to you.
You can adjust the fields shown, add or remove companies and assets, save the comparison, and return to it later.
